Antenna, Microwave and RF Engineering
“Antenna, Microwave and RF Engineering” is a centre of excellence recognized by RTU, Kota. It is a facility dedicated to advancing knowledge, expertise and innovation in the field if wireless communication and electromagnetics.
Vision:
To emerge as globally recognized center for training, research and product innovation & development in the field of RF, antennas and microwave to meet the socio-economic needs.
Mission:
To empower undergraduates and postgraduates by imparting quality training, research, collaborations with industries, product design & developments in the field of wireless communication and electromagnetic; and preparing them to be competent in dealing with industrial and societal challenges.
Objectives:
The CoE – “Antenna, Microwave and RF Engineering” is committed to achieving the following objectives:
- Research Excellence: To conduct quality research that advances the frontiers of antenna, microwave, and RF engineering; addressing key challenges and driving innovation.
- Education and Training: To provide quality education and training programs by involving experts and professionals in these fields.
- Industry Collaboration: To collaborate with industries and Institutes, fostering the development of practical solutions and technologies with real-world applications.
- Technology Transfer: To facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology from our research endeavors to benefit society and industry.
- Global Leadership: To establish this CoE as a global leader in antenna, microwave, and RF engineering; contributing to the growth and advancement in these fields.
IEEE-MICROWAVE THEORY AND TECHNIQUES (MTT)
The IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) is a transnational society with more than 10,500 members and 190 chapters worldwide. The society promotes the advancement of microwave theory and its applications, including RF, microwave, millimeter-wave, and terahertz technologies
The mission of the chapter is to continue to understand and influence microwave technology and to provide a forum for all microwave engineers.
The activities sponsored by the MTT-S include a broad spectrum of conferences, workshops, tutorials, technical committees, chapter meetings, publications and professional education programs. Our professional venues provide a great opportunity for networking with experienced innovators, experts, and practitioners.
Objective of Chapter
- Increase our focus on emerging technologies, RF systems, and applications of RF technology in our publications.
- Increase publication contribution to the educational mission of MTT-S.
- Enhance the quality and impact factor for all MTT-S publications.

About Membership
The Microwaves and Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) is a Technical Society within the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The Society is comprised and run by volunteers among their own membership. Members of the Society review and select technical manuscripts for publication. The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading recognized professional society devoted to the advancement of science, technology, electronics and telecommunication, and information technology. Founded in 1953, it serves more than 69,000 members through 59 centers/ sub-centers primarily located in India (3 abroad).
SKIT-IETE student forum was inaugurated on March 16, 2013 by All India IETE president Dr. S. Pal (Distinguished Scientist and Senior Advisor, ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangaluru) in a 3 days national conference AMCT-2013 (Advances in microelectronics & communication Technologies) at SKIT, Jaipur.

OPTICA Student Chapter
OPTICA STUDENT CHAPTER
The SKIT OSA student chapter was inaugurated by Prof. V Sinha, Retired professor IIT Kanpur in the “Faculty development program on Advances in optical communication” on 11th February 2019. Prof. S L Surana (Director- Academics, SKIT), Prof. Ramesh Pachar ( Principal, SKIT), Prof Ghanshyam Singh, ( Professor MNIT Jaipur) also grace the event. The members of OSA student chapter are enlightened with the basics of optical communication and its recent advances in the related field. In the inaugural address, Professor Sinha stressed upon the paradigm changes from basics of Optical Fiber to the recent developments and research in photonic integrated circuits. Prof Singh guided the students about the importance of OSA student chapter and highlighted the benefits of being a student member of OSA.
OBJECTIVES:
The objectives of this Chapter are:
• To promote awareness of optical science and optical engineering among the student and local communities,
• To facilitate communication and interaction between students, faculty, administration and industry professionals
• To interact with Optical Society of America members and its student organizations with a focus on information sharing and networking,
• To raise awareness of post-graduation opportunities for students.
• To develop technical knowledge, leadership experience and lasting relationships with peers and mentors.
